Aged White Tea from Fuding 2019 – Fuding Lao Bai Cha 100 gr

Aged White Tea from Fuding 2019 – Fuding Lao Bai Cha 100 gr

Aged white tea from Fuding, Fujian, produced in 2019 using traditional Gongmei processing. Crafted from one bud with two to three leaves, shade-withered for around three days and stored in a dry warehouse for aging, this tea develops a deeper, smoother and more rounded character over time. A limited batch created for Vienna Tea Festival 2025.

This aged white tea from Fuding is an excellent choice for tea drinkers who appreciate mature, smooth and more layered teas. Unlike very young white teas, aged white tea gradually moves from airy sweetness toward a richer, rounder and more honeyed profile. That evolving character is one of the reasons aged white tea is so appreciated by serious tea lovers.

It comes from Fuding in Fujian, one of the benchmark origins of Chinese white tea. White tea is traditionally made with minimal intervention, without the frying and rolling typical of many other tea styles, and relies mainly on withering and drying. This preserves the leaf’s natural character and allows the flavour to evolve beautifully with time.

This tea is made in the Gongmei style, which matters in the cup. The plucking standard of one bud with two or three leaves typically produces a fuller body and a deeper leaf-driven profile than the most delicate bud-only white teas. That makes this tea a very good option for customers looking for a white tea with more presence, warmth and a longer finish. This is an inference based on the style and plucking standard.

It works beautifully as a calm everyday tea, but it is also gift-worthy for anyone who values Chinese teas with origin, character and aging potential. If you want a white tea that feels less fragile and more mellow, mature and refined, this is a strong choice.
